"You Call This Place a Beach?" - The Tropumentary
We are in the final stages of mixing and mastering my new single, "You Call This Place a Beach?" It should be out in January. The song was inspired by all the great outlaw country songs where the singer name checks their good friends in the music business. I wanted to honor my talented friends in Trop Rock the same way. How can you call your place a beach when you're not playing the trop rock greats?
To help launch the song, I filed a comedy mock documentary film. A tropumentary! It features interviews and cameos by your favorit trop rock stars. Click the image above to watch this 24 minute epic movie on Youtube. Be sure to tell a million people about it.
New Shows Added
I haven't been performing very much lately, but I have added two new shows. On January 23rd, I will be doing a 30 minute free show in Menifee, CA as part of the LiveJam concert series. I'll be playing 6:30-7:00 p.m. at the Center for Spiritual Living building, located at 26805 Murrieta Rd, Sun City, CA 92585. No, this is not a religious event. LiveJam just rents out the space for monthly fee concerts. There's no booze, but there will be food.
I have been asked back to play at the Glen Eden Sun Club in Corona, CA. This is nudist resort that inspired the song I co-wrote with Brent Burns and Bill Whyte "Suntans in Strange Places." You can hear it on Brent's album, "Somewhere South of Here." If you're a member, or can figure out how to get in, it will be on August 22, 2026 from 1 pm - 4 pm. To be clear, I will not be nude. Everyone else will.
Are you....
with the band?
